By providing your mobile phone number along with selecting "I consent" on any form or page within Mukwa Safety Services Inc.'s website, you acknowledge that:

Mukwa Safety Services Inc. is requesting permission to send me text messages to the number provided.

I can withdraw consent at any time by replying "STOP", and Mukwa will respect my opt-out.

Message and data rates may apply depending on my carrier plan.

2. Legislative Framework

2.1 PIPEDA requires organizations to obtain meaningful consent for the collection, use, and disclosure of personal information and to safeguard that information appropriately.

2.2 CASL regulates commercial electronic messages, including SMS, and requires:

Consent (express or implied)

Clear sender identification

A functional unsubscribe mechanism

2.3 Where both laws apply, Mukwa Safety Services Inc. will comply with the stricter standard.

3. Definitions

3.1 SMS/MMS: Text or multimedia messages sent to a mobile device.

3.2 Commercial Electronic Message (CEM): Any electronic message that encourages participation in a commercial activity.

3.3 Express Consent: Clear, affirmative permission to receive CEMs.

3.4 Implied Consent: Consent that may exist due to an existing business relationship as defined under CASL.

3.5 Personal Information: Information about an identifiable individual, including mobile phone numbers.

4. Scope of Application

4.1 This policy applies to all outbound SMS communications including:

6.2 Consent language must be clear and not misleading.
